The nose is a structure filled with cartilage and air on both sides, anterior, middle and upper parts and it’s covered by the nasal mucosa. They play an active role in breathing. Sometimes their growth is more common in allergic bodies, which can cause serious sinus infections by closing the airway and closing the sinus orifices. Concha enlargements are usually seen together with septum curvatures. Sometimes there may be abnormal structures such as paradoxical concha or concha bullosa and serious sinus pathologies may occur. For this reason, turbinate surgeries play an important role in healthy breathing in the entire nasal cavity.
